Hannah {is in} Montana....

staying with her Aunt Connie!! She is going to go and spend a few days with Connie and her cousin Alyssa! They left today around 3:00 and she just called saying they made it there safe and sound! She is so excited {a little nervous}, but loves her Aunt Connie and it sounds like Connie has some fun things planned for them to do while they are there! Today is also Hannah's 10th birthday! Ten years ago today my first daughter was born! It was a VERY eventful and scary birth ~ she was life flighted to Salt Lake about an hour after she was born, the doctors up here thought she had all sorts things wrong with her from heart defects to lung problems and they just didn't know what to do! She was having a very hard time breathing! So after a very emotional blessing by her dad, John boarded the plane and him and Hannah headed to Salt Lake! I had to wait a few hours but the doctor let me go and at about midnight my parents had made me a bed in the back of their Suburban and took me to Salt Lake! That was the longest ride of my life...not knowing what was wrong with Hannah and just thinking all these scary thoughts and crying the whole way down there! By the time my parents and I arrived, they had found out Hannah had Laryngomalacia ~ which is overgrowth of the esophagus in her throat that made it difficult for her to breath and eat! It is a very treatable, non-life threatening condition that she later had surgery on to remove some if the overgrowth in her throat at around four months old! She had to stay at Primary Children's for a week and that was a very hard thing to do ~ to leave my new baby daughter there! But my sister and I went down a few days later and stayed for a couple days!She had to have a feeding tube and her heart rate was monitored closely and she lost quite a bit of weight! But she finally was able to hold things down, gained a little weight back, and had her feeding removed and a week later we took her home! The doctors down there are AMAZING and she had the best care possible! She had to be on oxygen for all her feedings and at nights! We had home oxygen delivery for about 6 months of those cutte little bottles of oxygen! To this day I am so thankful for all my family that helped us during that time! And here we are ten years later! We love her so much! She keeps us on our toes and we often refer to her as our "Drama Queen", cause she does tend to be a bit dramatic at times! But that's ok ~ what girl isn't! She is a great daughter and sister! We love you Hannah and are so thankful you are a part of our family! We miss you and hope you have a great time!! We will celebrate when you get home at the sand dunes!! Love you baby doll!! Now we will sing to you...
