for a Fourth of July re-cap!! We started celebrating on Friday night with a very yummy dinner at Mike and Mandie's house!! We had the best sandwich ever from Riverside Deli, it was huge, with chips, fruit, and cookies!! Austen, Jace, and Justin jumped in the "Yoda" and headed to Fort Hall to get some "good" fireworks and between them, they got some good ones...
John had to work but had a friend bring him over to Mandie's after he got off the bus...
We were lucky to have Carson spend the 4th with us. He stayed with Mandie while his family went to the cabin...he loves tradition and couldn't stand the thought of missing the parade, wearing his 4th of July shirt, and going to the picnic and fireworks with his cousins...
The big boys put on a pretty good show and it was a fun night ~ thanks Mike and Mandie...
Saturday we woke up to a cold morning so we decided to skip the parade and just go to the picnic with my family, grandparents, and cousins!! We went home and re-packed the cooler, grabbed more food, drinks, jackets, blankets, chairs, and the scooters and long boards!! We got up to "our spot" about 3:00 and just hung out!! The boys had fun riding their long boards all around, the kids played games, and mom, Mandie, and I people watched...which kept us entertained for a good while!!
My camera died so I didn't get very many pictures this year!!! The fireworks were wonderful this year and I always get a little teary-eyed watching them and thinking of my freedom and all I have because of those who have and are fighting to defend that freedom!!
