SpUd DaY ~ 2010

We love Spud Day!! Especially when the weather is nice and this year......it was beautiful!!! We missed mom and dad this year cause they decided to go on a cruise!!! But they had a blast!!! Any who.......we started with the parade!!!  John and the boys walked in the parade with the fire trucks passing out candy, so Hal and I watched the parade and filled her sack with candy...

Justin threw like a whole bag of Tootsie Rolls!! We had Tootsie Rolls for weeks!!! John jumped off the fire truck cause we were waiting for Hannah to come by! She was on the float with her school for strings, playing her violin...

See how beautiful it is??? Ya needed your sunglasses and by the end of the day a few of us had sunburns on our necks!!! After the parade we walked around looking at all the booths and steering Hannah away from all the crap she tends to gravitate toward....like frogs, hermit crabs, and other crap stuff!! We hung around and found a spot for the Spud Tug! John and Blake helped out with that.

We stayed and watched everyone get pulled into the spuds!! Then we headed out to the demolition derby and sat in the back of the trucks and ate some fried chicken and peanut butter cups!!! Can't get much more white trash then that!! But I embrace my white trash side and hoot and hollered with the rest of 'em!! We all went home sun burned, dirty, and tired!!! Another great Spud day!! So thankful for...1) small town celebrations 2) spud day food ~ prime steer is the best!! 3) mom and dad made it back from their cruise and had a great time!!!!
