~ Christmas Eve 2010 ~

We woke up early Christmas Eve Day cause Halle just couldn't sleep!!! She was so excited cause Santa Claus was coming tonight!! We met everyone at Craigo's for pizza, and then headed out to go bowling....

 Everyone had a great time!!! We only bowl once a year and it's always on Christmas Eve!! Everyone headed home for a bit and then we met back up at Stephanie and Mike's for prime rib dinner!! John woke up early that morning and him and Hannah got it all ready....

Doesn't look too appetizing right now {and it makes me feel like a cave lady carnivore just looking at it}!
But it turned out so very yummy!!!!
And we then feasted like the Who's in WhoVille on the very good prime rib roast beast....

We ate {way too much}, visited, and played a few games of "Spoons"! Which can get a little crazy trying to get that last spoon... 

We settled down and Mike talked about the birth of the Savior! We opened up one present which is always jammies!! I always try to get the girls a Holiday Barbie to give them along with their jammies!! I did good on jammies this year! Justin {along with the rest of us, still have nightmares about his Spongebob boxers! Long story made extremely short.....three sizes too small}! But it's been good ever since! Well I guess too the time I got the boys jammies with feet in 'em!! They didn't find them as cute as I did! They were 11 and 9! But this year we were good to go...

Grandma and Grandpa Fillmore came over and visited and had dinner with us!! Love them so very much...

 Grandma had surgery on her little toe! But we are glad she was feeling good enough to come!

After visiting and eating {way too much again} Taz {Steph's dog} starts barking loudly as someone is approaching the front door! We all pause and we hear jingle bells and hear a hearty
"HO! HO! HO!"
It was Santa!! Dropping by to visit and a chance to double check the lists...

 

Look at that twinkle in John's eyes when he smiles!!! Here in a few years we will have our own Santa after John's beard turns all white!!
Even Grandma and Grandpa had a turn....

and the rest of the clan!! Except I am missing Steph, Mandie, and Shannon...

 The kids went home and crawled right into bed with dreams of sugar plums {and bows and snowboards and iPods and aqua sand} dancing in their heads!!! And a promise from Justin that he wouldn't call this year from his bedroom, on his cell phone, at 2:30 a.m. asking to get up!!! It was a long and exhausting day {kinda like this was to read}! But it was a great Christmas Eve!!
