Jr. Prom 2011 ~ A day full of fun

Justin went to prom this year with a cute little gal named Megan from Idaho Falls! Him and Kade asked her and Lindee by sending them on a scavenger hunt around Idaho Falls to different places and ending up at Kiwi Loco where some of Justin and Kade's good buddies were waiting making the girls think they were asking them {which the girls love these boys but they were really wanting Justin and Kade to take them}!

 So they sat there eating yogurt and then they gave the girls the final clue to where Justin and Kade were waiting in Barnes and Noble with flowers and the girls had to find them!

And they were so happy when they did...

 It turned out really cute!!!

She answered him back by tying neon green yarn around the front door handle and he had to follow it! She had little surprises along the way! It went on forever....around three block in our neighborhood at like 10:00 at night!!

They started they day by picking up the girls and going on a day date! There were 11 couples that went {22 teenage kids total}! The packed lunches for their dates and took them 4-wheeling in the mountains!! It was cold and drizzly that day! They came home, wet, cold, and muddy, but all had the time of their lives!!

I do now know Justin does has a chilvirous bone in his body!!! Megan only wore Hello Kitty gloves and her hands were so cold!! So Justin switched her and let her wear his leather ones...

By the time they got home and got all the 4-wheeler's where they were supposed to be they were running a little late! They had to go and wash his truck cause it was covered in mud and he was driving that night too! Justin came home and was in a hurry to get ready which in turn stresses me out cause he kinda turns into a diva!!! He stresses about how his tuxes feels {tight and constricting}, his hair isn't going right, where's this, where's that, where's dad {getting some $$ for him}!! But in the end it all turns out ok and he's finally on his way {and as always with a piece of my heart}! John was being a little slow for him so we meet John at the bank so I could get a picture of him before he left {and he could get some $$}....

They all picked up their dates and ate at Jason Christensen's house for dinner!! The feasted on sweet and sour pork over rice, different kinds salads, and yummy desserts  to which he was sweet enough to ask if I was going to come out and take pictures {and bring his favorite dessert} to which I always reply.....

They are such a great group of kids! And they had tons of fun!!

{Please take note of Justin and Nick on the back row! Everyone was going to make goofy faces and/or poses and unbeknownst to Justin, Nick leaned over and grabbed him and kissed his cheek!!! The look on Nick's dates face is priceless! Justin had no idea he was going to do that}...

 After the dance they all went back to Jason's house and watched movies!! They had a very long but a very fun day!! Memories were made that day and night that they will remember forever!!

I almost forgot one of the best parts of the night!! Justin stopped in and saw my parents before going to the dance but we didn't get pictures :(    and then {the best part} they agreed to go see Grandma & Grandpa Fillmore!! And that made their night!

Now for a mom moment......

 He is becoming a fine young man! And is a good kid! He tells us most everything and let's us be such a part of his life!! Which I am so grateful for! He isn't embarrassed to give me hugs and kiss my cheek when his friends are around and he is getting ready to leave! Again...so very grateful for that!! But with that being said....John and I get about a good 13 hours out of the 7 days in the week that he isn't driving us crazy, or making us shake our heads, or letting at big sighs! After he has finally crawled into bed at night and has fallen asleep, we can relax a little!! We then know he is home for at least a few hours and not out going from one thing to another......long boarding, motorbike riding, cruising, eating, hanging out, eating some more, building, taking apart, fixing up, destroying, helping someone, studying, seeing Megan, going to the drive in, and still....eating some more!!  He is excited for summer and to start working, saving, spending, and playing!!

{Phew!!! Do you know how long it took me to write this? All day!!! I have had to wait for Justin and Zac to send me pictures from theirr phones and apparently they weren't no hurry to send 'em to me!!! But it's done!! Ya-hoo!!! Now off to Mick's for Jace's 8th grade graduation celebration dinner ~ more on that later!}
