We started out the 4th with our yearly tradition of meeting at Mike and Mandie's eating, visiting, and doing fireworks!! It's always so much fun...
The next day we got up bright and early cause Halle was marching in the parade!! We usually don't go to the parade cause it's soooo long and it gets sooo hot but she really wanted to do it and she was excited...
Waiting for the parade...
Here she comes....
She walked the whole parade but the last 10 feet!!! It was then time to head over to the picnic! Her was famished...
Then we headed over to the river to "our spot" to wait and people watch {this type of event really bring out the goons}, one of my favorite things about the 4th!! The kids rode scooters, played games, we talked, some slept, we ordered pizza and had it delivered, went for a walk along the greenbelt, ate yummy popsicles, and just hung out....
When it was time for fireworks, we all cuddled together and watched the wonderful display celebrating our freedom!! I always tear up when watching the fireworks.....just so very thankful for my freedom, where I live, and for those who selflessly defend it!! I am so grateful for my family and to have them all so close and to do fun things with!!
Love you all!!
