Every once in a while {and we decided it's been a while} we like to jump in the car and go for a drive! I wanted to go see where we were going to be having girls camp this year {never camped there} so a couple of Sundays ago we packed a lunch, jumped in the car, and went for a drive!! We headed toward Warm River and had to stop and see the fish....
We headed to Upper Mesa Falls where we ran into a light rain but it was still beautiful...
They have a little visitors center with some interesting stuff so we looked around a bit......
We then headed to Buffalo Campground, where girls camp was going to be {which turned out AWESOME by the way}! They had horseshoes, a volleyball area, and nice camping area...
they worked up an appetite so had a picnic.....
and then headed to check out the Buffalo River....
We drove up to Big Springs to see more fish.....
The boys were looking for a rock like this....
If ya look close you can see all 4 cycles of the trout fly on the rock ~ 1- larva in that squishy stuff on the right, 2- baby stage rolled in a rock cocoon at the top, 3- empty rock cocoon to the left, and 4- the trout fly bottom left! See if ya can see it......those aren't the right terms and all but ya get the point! It was pretty cool!! Justin learned about it in Mr. Petty's class in biology {he actually was payin' attention}!!! After this it was about time to head home!! It was a fun day and we can't wait to do it again!! We even made the whole trip without the kids fighting {too much} along the way!!
